ENSIC Foundation

Placed under the aegis of Fondation de France, Fondation ENSIC is designed to promote access to higher education while consolidating the links between education and industry in the field of training, research and the industrial valorization of research.
Arkema became involved in the Fondation in 2008 as a founding member, spurred on by an approach that combines solidarity and innovation towards an increasingly environmentally sound chemistry.

The ENSIC Foundation aims to assist engineering students who encounter financial problems in the course of their studies. The mission of solidarity it set itself at the time of its creation therefore fulfils a real need. The Foundation has for example already awarded financial help to 11 first-year and second-year students in 2009.

The initiative to set up the ENSIC Foundation was launched by two teachers-researchers from the Nancy Ecole nationale supérieure des industries chimiques, working on combining safety and environmental protection in the teaching of liquid-liquid extraction operations commonly used in chemistry. Their wish was for the Fondation to benefit from the profits generated by their invention. Arkema joined forces with them by providing the initial donation required to establish the Foundation.
